This notification follows a proposal by a private company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and subsequent approval by the Central Government on October 25, 2006. The SEZ covers specific survey numbers and areas totaling 24.055 hectares. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, and published in the Gazette of India on April 23, 2007.
