        <h1>Special Economic Zone denotification under rule 8: Central Government rescinds prior SEZ notification for the specified area.</h1> The Central Government, invoking the first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006, rescinded the notification that had designated 24.055 hectares at Kalapatty Village as a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and IT enabled services, following the developer's proposal and grant of a letter of approval for denotification; the rescission is subject to previous acts or omissions.
