of <h1>Customs Notification 146/93 exempts platinum imports for jewelry export schemes from duties, valid 1997-2002.</h1> Notification No. 146/93-Customs, dated June 28, 1993, issued under the Customs Act, 1962, exempts platinum imported into India by specified agencies, including the Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India Limited and other authorized entities, from customs duties. This exemption applies to platinum under heading No. 71.10 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, imported for the Gold/Silver and Platinum Jewellery and Articles Export Promotion and Replenishment Scheme. The policy is effective from April 1, 1997, to March 31, 2002, and is subject to amendments as per the Government of India's notifications.
