of <h1>Central Government Appoints Additional Secretary as Authority for Countervailing Duties per Customs Tariff Rules, 1995</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Tariff Rules, 1995, has appointed the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce as the designated authority responsible for identifying, assessing, and collecting countervailing duties on subsidized articles and determining injury. This appointment is formalized through Notification No. 3/95-Cus. (N.T.), dated January 1, 1995. This notification has been superseded by Notification No. 49/2011-Customs (N.T.), dated July 20, 2011.
