India Finalizes Anti-Dumping Duty on Ukrainian Ferro Silicon to Protect Domestic Industry from Unfair Pricing Practices
The Central Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on ferro silicon imported from Ukraine, following findings that it was being sold in India below normal value, causing injury to the domestic industry. Initially imposed provisionally on July 20, 2001, the duty is now finalized based on further investigation. The duty is calculated as the difference between US$ 740 per metric tonne and the landed value of the imported ferro silicon. This measure is intended to protect the domestic industry from unfair pricing practices and is payable in Indian currency.
