of <h1>Amendments to Customs Notification: New Exemptions for LPG Imports & 5% Duty on Tuna Fishing Equipment Effective May 2, 2005.</h1> The Central Government has amended the Customs Notification No. 21/2002 dated March 1, 2002, under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendments include substituting entries for S.No. 75E to exempt liquefied propane, butane, and LPG imported for subsidized distribution under specified schemes. Additionally, a new entry, S.No. 508, introduces a 5% duty on monofilament long line systems for tuna fishing, subject to certification by the Marine Products Export Development Authority. Changes in the annexure include omitting a sub-item in List 26 and adding 'Degaussing coil' to List 26A. These amendments are effective from May 2, 2005.
