Section 35AC eligibility extended for recurring sports programmes for intellectually disabled, renewing tax-exempt project status for further years. The Central Government renews eligibility under Section 35AC for the Special Olympics Gujarat Chapter scheme 'Recurring cost for organizing sports meet for intellectually disabled children and adults and for organizing healthy athletes programmes for them to participate in Special Olympics' for a further three-year period commencing with the financial year 2012-13, on the recommendation of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, and confirms no change in the approved project cost including the corpus fund.
