of <h1>'Safe Motherhood and Child Survival Project' in Baroda Extended Under Section 35AC for 2012-13, Costing Rs. 24.96 Crore.</h1> The Central Government has extended the 'Safe Motherhood and Child Survival Project' by a charitable trust in Baroda as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2004 and subsequently extended in 2007 and 2009, the project is now approved for an additional year starting with the financial year 2012-13. The project continues with an approved cost of Rs. 24.96 crore, following a recommendation from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, confirming its proper execution.
