of <h1>India Delays Meat Export Rule Enforcement to June 2012, Ensuring Compliance with APEDA Registration Requirements</h1> The Government of India has deferred the implementation date of a provision in Note-6 of Notification No. 82, dated 31.10.2011, concerning the export of meat. The provision requires exporters to source raw materials exclusively from APEDA registered abattoirs. Originally effective from 31.10.2011, the requirement will now be enforced from 15.06.2012, allowing exporters time to comply by upgrading facilities and obtaining necessary registrations. This transition aims to ensure public health and hygiene, with no further extensions planned. Other provisions of Notification No. 82 remain effective from the original date.
