of <h1>Central Govt Approves Aerospace SEZ in Bangalore under SEZ Act, 2005; Inland Container Depot Status Granted</h1> Under Section 4 of the SEZ Act, 2005, the Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the aerospace industry in the villages of Bhatramaranahalli, Kavadadasanahalli, and Dummanahalli, located in Bangalore North and Devanahalli Talukas, Karnataka. The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board proposed this SEZ, which received approval on February 2, 2011. An Approval Committee, including various government officials and representatives, is constituted to oversee this SEZ. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective November 9, 2011, under the Customs Act, 1962.
