of <h1>Amendment to Section 3 of Customs Tariff Act 1975 by Finance Act 2011 Effective August 1, 2011.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has announced that the amendment to section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, as introduced by section 57 of the Finance Act, 2011, will take effect on August 1, 2011. This notification, identified as No. 53/2011-Customs (N.T), was issued on July 28, 2011, under the authority granted by the Finance Act, 2011.
