of <h1>India Extends DEPB Scheme Validity to September 30, 2011, Under Notification No. 51/2011-Customs, Per Section 51 of Customs Act.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 51/2011-Customs on June 22, 2011, to amend Notification No. 97/2009-Customs. This amendment extends the validity of the Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) scheme until September 30, 2011. The notification specifies that DEPB Scrips issued against exports with a Let Export Order up to this date will remain valid. Additionally, it defines 'Let Export Order' as an order permitting the clearance and loading of goods for exportation in accordance with section 51 of the Customs Act, 1962.
