of <h1>Finance Ministry Extends DEPB Scheme to September 30, 2011; Ensures Smooth Export Processing Under Notification No. 51/2011-Cus.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, extends the Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) scheme for three months, now valid until September 30, 2011. This extension is detailed in Notification No. 51/2011-Cus, amending Notification No. 97/2009-Cus. It allows DEPB scrips issuance for exports with a 'Let Export Order' by September 30, 2011. Customs officers are instructed to ensure prompt processing of export consignments to avoid system overload and manual endorsement of 'Let Export Orders' if necessary, to protect exporters' interests. Acknowledgment of this circular is requested.
