of <h1>Central Government Modifies Companies Act Applicability for Goa, Daman, and Diu under Section 620B; Certain Sections Exempted Until 1965.</h1> The notification issued by the Central Government under section 620B of the Companies Act, 1956, specifies modifications to the applicability of the Act concerning companies in the Union territory of Goa, Daman, and Diu. From January 26, 1963, until the notification date, all provisions except sections 1 and 3 do not apply to existing companies. From the notification date until December 31, 1965, certain sections, as detailed in the schedule, either do not apply or apply with modifications. This includes sections such as 4 to 8, 11 to 16, and others, with specific sub-sections of some sections applicable as outlined.
