<h1>Govt Extends Tax Benefits for KG Crusade Against Childhood Blindness Project Until 2013-14 Under Section 35AC</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project 'KG Crusade Against Childhood Blindness' by K. Govindaswamy Naidu Memorial Trust in Coimbatore for tax benefits under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting in the financial year 2005-06 and extended in 2009, the project is now further extended for three more years, covering 2011-12 to 2013-14, without altering the approved cost of Rs. 1.22 crore. This decision follows the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare's recommendation.
