of <h1>Government Extends Income Tax Benefits for Tribal School Project Under Section 35AC, Increases Funding to Rs. 10 Crore</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Madhav Vidhyapith' residential school for tribal students, operated by an educational organization in Bharuch, under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in October 2007 for three years, the project is now extended for another three years, covering 2010-11 to 2012-13, with an increased project cost from Rs. 5 crore to Rs. 10 crore, including a corpus fund of Rs. 7 crore. However, no certificate will be issued for the financial year 2010-11 as it has already passed.
