of <h1>Medical Relief Project in Ahmedabad Extended Under Section 35AC with Increased Deduction Limit for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Medical Relief Project at Ahmedabad,' managed by an anonymous fund, as an eligible project under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 1996, the project has received multiple extensions and cost enhancements over the years. The latest notification extends the project's eligibility for three more financial years starting from 2011-12 and increases the maximum allowable deduction cost from Rs. 324.08 lakh to Rs. 454.08 lakh. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension and cost enhancement.
