of <h1>India Amends Foreign Trade Policy: Export Trade Samples in Passenger Baggage Now Allowed Without Authorization</h1> The Government of India has amended Paragraph 2.31 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2009-2014 to permit the export of trade samples as part of passenger baggage. This amendment, effective from May 3, 2011, allows exporters to include samples of items that are otherwise freely exportable under the FTP in their passenger baggage without requiring authorization. This change aims to facilitate the export process for bona fide trade samples, enhancing convenience for exporters traveling with such items.
