of <h1>New Customs Notification Sets Exchange Rates for Currency Conversion Effective March 1, 2011, Replacing Previous January Update.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has issued Notification No. 14/2011-CUSTOMS (N.T.) on February 24, 2011, under the authority of Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 6/2011-Customs (N.T.) from January 27, 2011, and establishes new exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian rupees for import and export purposes effective March 1, 2011. The exchange rates are specified for various currencies, including the Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Euro, US Dollar, and Japanese Yen, among others, with distinct rates for imported and exported goods.
