of <h1>Customs Duty Exemptions Expanded to Include Parts for Mobile Handsets and Accessories Under Amended Notification No. 23/2010.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 23/2010 to expand the scope of customs duty exemptions. The amendment exempts parts, components, and accessories for manufacturing mobile handsets, including sub-parts for these components. Additionally, it now includes parts or components for manufacturing battery chargers, PC connectivity cables, and hands-free headphones for mobile handsets. This amendment, effective from March 1, 2011, is made under the powers of the Customs Act, 1962, to serve the public interest.
