of <h1>Shri Jalaram Arogya Sewa Trust's hospital expansion project cost increased under Section 35AC of Income-tax Act.</h1> The Central Government has amended a previous notification concerning the Shri Jalaram Arogya Sewa Trust, located in Meghraj, Gujarat. Initially, the project involved expanding a 25-bed general hospital to an 80-bed capacity, recognized as an eligible project under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act for three years starting from the 2009-2010 financial year. Following a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, the project cost eligible for tax deduction has been increased from Rs. 47.76 lakhs to Rs. 2.94 crore.
