Initially approved in 1995, the project has received multiple extensions, the latest being for three years starting from the financial year 2010-2011. The project, deemed properly executed by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, maintains an approved cost of Rs. 100.30 lakhs. This extension is granted under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961.
