of <h1>Government Extends Funding for Gujarat Project Supporting Girls' Hostels, Orphanages, and Disabled Children to 2012-13</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of a project managed by an organization in Gujarat, which involves recurring expenses for girls' hostels, an orphanage, and a center for handicapped children. Initially approved for three years starting in the 2007-08 financial year, the project has been extended for another three years from 2010-11 to 2012-13. The funding for this project has been increased from Rs. 1.43 crore to Rs. 2.58 crore, including a Rs. 50 lakh corpus fund, following the recommendation of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
