of <h1>India Cuts Customs Duty on Crude Petroleum Imports from Brunei to 2% Starting January 2011.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has amended Notification No. 116/2010-Customs to reduce the customs duty on crude petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals imported from Brunei Darussalam. The duty rate has been decreased from 3% ad valorem to 2% ad valorem. This amendment, made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, is effective from January 1, 2011, and is aimed at serving the public interest.
