of <h1>Poverty Alleviation Project by DISHA in Pune Extended for Three More Years u/s 35AC of Income-tax Act.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the poverty alleviation project conducted by Development Initiative for Self-Help and Awakening (DISHA) in Pune, under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the 2007-08 financial year, the project focuses on capacity building, market support, and micro-credit for economically weaker sections. Following a recommendation from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, the project is now approved for an additional three years, covering 2010-11 to 2012-13, with an unchanged cost of Rs. 163.06 lakh.
