of <h1>Gum Karaya export policy amended: Free export allowed with registration under Chapter 13, Schedule 2.</h1> The Central Government has amended the export policy for Gum Karaya, listed under S.No. 65, Chapter 13 of Schedule 2 of the ITC(HS) Classification. Previously, the export of Gum Karaya was restricted to the State Trading Enterprise, specifically through the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (TRIFED). The new amendment allows for free export, provided that exporters register with either TRIFED or the Shellac & Forest Products Export Promotion Council (SHEFEXIL). This change is enacted under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, and the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992.
