of <h1>Melapakkam, Arakkanonam Designated as Inland Container Depot for Imports and Exports under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has amended Notification No. 12/97-CUSTOMS (N.T.) to designate Melapakkam, Arakkanonam as an Inland Container Depot for the unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods. This amendment, effective from January 2, 2004, adds Melapakkam, Arakkanonam to the list of designated locations in Tamil Nadu under serial number 11 in the notification. The amendment is issued under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is documented in Notification No. 1/2004 - Customs (N.T.).
