of <h1>Government De-notifies IT Services Area in Kalwa SEZ, Maharashtra; Initially Notified in 2007 Under SEZ Act 2005.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has de-notified a specific area within the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology services at Kalwa Trans Thane Creek Industrial Area, Maharashtra, initially notified in 2007. M/s. Serene Properties Private Limited proposed this SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government has constituted an Approval Committee for this SEZ, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developer. Additionally, the SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from September 15, 2010, under the Customs Act, 1962.
