of <h1>New IT SEZ Approved in Bangalore North by Ministry of Commerce; 10.11 Hectares Designated as Inland Container Depot.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a Sector Specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Village Chokkanahalli, Taluka Yelahanka Hobli, Bangalore North, Karnataka. M/s. Milestone Buildcone Private Limited proposed this SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The designated area covers 10.11 hectares with specified survey numbers. An Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee the SEZ, comprising officials from various government departments. The SEZ is also designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from September 27, 2010, under the Customs Act, 1962.
