of <h1>India Expands Customs Exemption to Include Tags, Labels, Sensors, Staple Wire, and Poly Bags for Gem Industry</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 41/1999 - Customs, originally dated April 28, 1999, to include additional items eligible for customs exemption. These items, applicable to holders of a Replenishment Licence for the manufacture of gem and jewellery or cut and polished diamonds, now include tags and labels, security sensors on cards, staple wire, and poly bags. This amendment, issued under Notification No. 97/2010 - Customs, is made in the public interest and reflects changes in the ANNEXURE-I and ANNEXURE-II of the original notification.
