Proposed by a private organization, the SEZ covers 10.36 hectares across specified survey numbers. An Approval Committee has been formed, comprising government officials and a representative from the developer, to oversee the SEZ's development, operation, and maintenance. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from July 7, 2010, under the Customs Act, 1962.
