of <h1>B.T. Savani Kidney Hospital Project in Rajkot Gains 3-Year Extension for Tax Deduction Under Section 35AC</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the B.T. Savani Kidney Hospital project, managed by the Saurashtra Kidney Research Institute in Rajkot, Gujarat, as an eligible project under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting in the financial year 2007-08, the project is now extended for an additional three years, covering 2010-11 to 2012-13. The project's cost allowance for tax deduction has been increased from Rs. 2.96 crore to Rs. 3.91 crore, following recommendations by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
