<h1>India Extends Duty-Free Tariff Preferences to Somalia Under Notification 63/2010-Customs, Enhancing Trade with Least Developed Countries.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 63/2010-Customs, amending Notification No. 96/2008-Customs, to extend duty-free tariff preferences to the Republic of Somalia. This amendment, made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, adds Somalia to the list of Least Developed Countries eligible for these preferences. The amendment is considered necessary in the public interest and follows previous amendments, the last of which was made in August 2009. The notification was published in the Gazette of India and is managed by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
