<h1>Government Approves Electronic Hardware & IT SEZ in Pune; 10.01 Hectares to Boost Tech Growth</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Electronic Hardware and Software, including Information Technology and IT-enabled Services, in Mauje Punawale, Taluka Mulshi, District Pune, Maharashtra. This approval follows the proposal by a private developer under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The designated area covers 10.01 hectares, and an Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee its development, including representatives from various government departments and the developer. The SEZ will also function as an Inland Container Depot effective from April 26, 2010, under the Customs Act, 1962.
