of <h1>Government Extends Tax Benefit for Leprosy Hospital Project in Gujarat Under Section 35AC for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Reconstruction of 100 bed hospital for leprosy patients' project by Shram Mandir Trust in Gujarat under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the financial year 2006-07, the project will continue for an additional three years from 2009-10 to 2011-12. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare has recommended this extension, and the project's approved cost remains at Rs. 1.50 crore.
