of <h1>Government Approves IT Special Economic Zone in Nellikode, Kerala Under SEZ Act 2005, Covering 10.162 Hectares</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services in Nellikode, Kozhikkode, Kerala, proposed by a registered society in Kerala. The approval was granted under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, with the SEZ covering an area of 10.162 hectares. An Approval Committee for the SEZ has been constituted, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developer. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from February 23, 2010, under the Customs Act, 1962.
