India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duties on Carbon Black Imports from Australia, China, Russia, Thailand for Five Years
The Government of India has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of Carbon Black used in rubber applications from Australia, China, Russia, and Thailand. This decision follows findings that these imports were being sold below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duties, specified per kilogram in US dollars, vary based on the country of origin, exporter, and producer. The duty will be enforced for five years from July 30, 2009, and is payable in Indian currency. Certain Carbon Black grades used in semi-conductive compounds are excluded from this duty.
