Initially approved for three years starting from the 2002-2003 assessment year and extended for one year in 2006, the project will now continue for an additional three years from the 2006-2007 financial year. The project includes building construction, staff residential quarters, and equipment purchases, with an unchanged approved cost of Rs. 548.90 lakhs. This extension follows a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
