of <h1>India Extends Dardi Sahayak Trust's Free Medical Services in Gujarat; Tax Deduction Limit Doubled u/s 35AC.</h1> The Government of India has extended the eligibility of the Dardi Sahayak Trust's project for providing free medical services across Gujarat. Initially recognized in 2001 and extended in 2004, the project is now approved for an additional two years starting from the financial year 2007-2008. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare has recommended this extension, acknowledging the project's proper execution. Additionally, the maximum allowable deduction for the project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act has been increased from Rs. 51,00,000 to Rs. 1,02,00,000.
