of <h1>India Revises Import Policy: Carbon Black and Polyester Items Now 'Free' Under Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has amended the import policy for carbon black and certain polyester items under the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014. As per the notification dated September 9, 2009, carbon black (Exim Code 2803 00 10) and other polyester items (Exim Code 5402 47 00) are now classified as 'Free' for import, indicating no restrictions. This amendment to Schedule-I of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items is issued in public interest and is authorized by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
