of <h1>New Special Economic Zone for Building Products Approved in Andhra Pradesh Covering 262.87 Acres</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for building products in Annangi and Bodduvanipalem, Prakasham District, Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited proposed this SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ encompasses various survey numbers totaling 262.87 acres. An Approval Committee, including officials from relevant governmental departments and the developer, has been constituted to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ is also designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from September 8, 2009, under the Customs Act, 1962.
