The SEZ spans 128.4292 hectares and has received necessary approvals as of February 27, 2009. An Approval Committee has been formed, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developing company, to oversee the SEZ's development and operations. The SEZ will also function as an Inland Container Depot starting September 3, 2009, under the Customs Act, 1962.
