of <h1>India Imposes Safeguard Duty on Dimethoate Technical Imports; 20% in 2009, 15% in 2010, Excludes Developing Nations Except China.</h1> The Government of India has imposed a provisional safeguard duty on imports of Dimethoate Technical to protect domestic producers from increased imports causing serious injury. The safeguard duty, based on findings by the Director General (Safeguard), is set at 20% ad valorem from March 23, 2009, to March 22, 2010, and 15% ad valorem from March 23, 2010, to March 22, 2011. This duty does not apply to imports from developing countries, except for the People's Republic of China. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
