of <h1>Government Amends Customs Notification No. 49/96 to Include Reference to 121/2003-Customs Effective August 1, 2003</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 49/96-Customs, dated July 23, 1996, under the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, effective from August 1, 2003, modifies the table in the original notification. Specifically, in the table against Serial No. 1, item (I), the reference to 'and 51/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996' is replaced with ',51/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996 and 121/2003-Customs, dated the 1st August, 2003.' This change is made in the public interest as stated by the government authority.
