Initially notified in 1998, the project's eligibility was extended multiple times, with the latest extension covering the financial years 2008-2009, 2009-2010, and 2010-2011. The approved cost remains Rs. 64 lakh plus a corpus fund of Rs. 50 lakh. However, donations collected during the financial year 2008-2009 are not eligible for tax exemption certificates.
