Initially approved in 1996, the project has received multiple extensions, with the latest approval covering the financial years 2008-2009, 2009-2010, and 2010-2011. The project maintains an approved cost of Rs. 889.16 lakhs, including a corpus fund of Rs. 700.00 lakhs.
