India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Low Carbon Ferro Chrome from Kazakhstan to Protect Domestic Industry
The Central Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Low Carbon Ferro Chrome (LCFC) imported from Kazakhstan. This decision follows findings that LCFC, with a carbon content of 0.03% to 0.2% and chromium content of 65% to 70%, was exported to India at prices below its normal value, causing material injury to the Indian domestic industry. The duty, set at eighteen thousand five hundred rupees per metric tonne, aims to counteract the adverse effects of these imports, as determined by the designated authority's final findings under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
