of <h1>Government Rescinds Three Customs Notifications from 1999 for Public Necessity under Customs Act and Tariff Act Authority.</h1> Notification No. 57/99-Cus. dated May 11, 1999, issued by the Central Government, rescinds Notification Nos. 21/99-Cus., 23/99-Cus., and 24/99-Cus., all dated February 28, 1999. This action is taken under the authority of sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, and section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, in the interest of public necessity. These notifications, previously issued by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, are annulled as part of a miscellaneous exemption adjustment.
