of <h1>Government amends customs notifications to exclude Zinc Oxide and Acrylic Yarn with exemptions under Notification 40/2002.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notifications 58/2002 and 74/2002 under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and the Customs Act, 1962. In Notification 58/2002, a proviso is added stating that the notification does not apply to Zinc Oxide imports availing exemption under Notification 40/2002-Customs. Similarly, in Notification 74/2002, a proviso specifies that the notification does not apply to Acrylic Yarn imports availing exemption under the same Notification 40/2002-Customs. These amendments are issued in the public interest and are detailed in Notification No. 127/2002-Customs, dated 15th November 2002.
