of <h1>Central Government Approves IT Special Economic Zone in Kerala's Alappuzha District, Managed by Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd.</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services in Pallipuram Village, Chertala Taluk, Alappuzha District, Kerala. M/s. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited will develop, operate, and maintain the SEZ. The designated area covers 24.5313 hectares, with specific survey numbers listed. An Approval Committee has been constituted, including representatives from various government departments and the developer. The SEZ is effective from June 8, 2009, and is recognized as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.
